Sample Website Care Plus report

This is the format a Website Care Plus client receives every month. It is written in plain language, it says what we did and what we did not do, and it never asks you to interpret a dashboard.

Back to Website Care plans

Plan represented

Website Care Plus, at $249 per month, covering one website. A real report names your plan, your website, and the work actually performed on it during the period. Every figure below is an example.

Reporting period

One sample calendar month of 30 days, first day to last day. Reports are issued within the first five business days of the following month, whether or not anything eventful happened.

Example website

www.example-sample-site.com - a fictional single-site business website on a standard CMS. No real customer website is described here.

Monitoring performed

What was watched continuously across the period, and what each check confirmed.

  • Uptime and availability: 99.98 percent, with one brief host interruption that recovered on its own.
  • SSL certificate: valid throughout the period, automatic renewal confirmed.
  • Domain expiration: verified, with the next renewal falling outside this period.
  • Malware and file-integrity scanning: no malicious files detected.

Issues detected

What monitoring surfaced during the period, and what happened to each item.

  • One host-side interruption of under two minutes. Auto-recovered; no action was required.
  • 112 automated login attempts blocked at the login form. No unauthorized access succeeded.
  • Three broken internal links found during the monthly health check. All three were fixed.

Updates performed

Every update in this example month was applied to a compatible staging copy first, verified there, then published, with a backup taken before each one. Staging-site testing is a Website Care Plus feature and depends on the hosting environment supporting it.

  • CMS core updated from 6.5.2 to 6.5.4.
  • Security plugin updated from 4.1.0 to 4.2.1.
  • SEO plugin updated from 21.6 to 21.8, and the page builder from 3.20 to 3.21.
  • Contact form checked and already current at 2.9.3, so no change was made.

Technical work performed

Minor technical work drawn from the 60 minutes included with Website Care Plus. 38 of the 60 minutes were used this period. Unused minutes do not roll over.

  • Fixed the three broken internal links and corrected two outdated page redirects (14 minutes).
  • Re-tested contact-form delivery to the business inbox after the plugin updates (9 minutes).
  • Compressed two oversized header images, taking homepage load time from 2.4 to 1.9 seconds (15 minutes).

Included versus separately purchased

Everything above was covered by the monthly plan fee, and nothing in this period was billed separately. The two lists below are the standing boundary, not a judgement made month by month.

Included in Website Care Plus

  • Monitoring, staging-site update testing where the hosting environment supports it, a backup before every update, and post-update verification.
  • Up to 60 minutes of minor technical work per month.
  • Small content edits, routine fixes, and broken-link and contact-form delivery checks.
  • This monthly report, plus priority email response with requests reviewed within one business day.

Purchased separately, never assumed

  • Redesigns, new features, and new website builds are separate projects and are quoted before any work starts.
  • Hosting, domains, premium plugins, and software licenses are billed by their providers.
  • Emergency or same-day work, and cleanup of an already-compromised website, are quoted first and never assumed to be covered.

Recommendations

What we suggest next, in priority order. Nothing here is started without your approval.

  • Compress the four remaining oversized product images to take roughly another 0.3 seconds off page load.
  • Replace the two inactive plugins still installed with a single maintained alternative.
  • Schedule the next restore test from backup. The last one passed and the next is due this quarter.

Unresolved risks

What is still open at the end of the period. An empty list here would be a warning sign, not a good sign.

  • Administrator accounts still have no two-factor authentication. Enabling it is outside the plan and needs a decision from you.
  • Backups are verified but have not been restore-tested since last quarter, so restore time is estimated rather than measured.

Limitations of this report

This report covers the work performed on one website during one period. It is not a security audit, not a penetration test, and not a guarantee that a website cannot be compromised. Figures come from monitoring and update logs, and anything we could not observe is reported as unknown rather than assumed good.
