What happens after your website security check
A plain-language guide to how the check runs, what we need from you, and how to read your results, so you get the most from your Small Business Website Security Check.
How the Check Works
The check is a fixed-scope, one-time review of your live website. There is nothing to install, and we never need access to your customers' data.
- You share your website address and confirm that you own the site
- We review the site from the outside and, with your authorization, the account-level basics such as admin accounts, hosting configuration, and backups
- You receive a written report with clear, prioritized findings
- We walk you through the results and answer your questions
How to Prepare
You do not need to be technical. A few details help us give you the most accurate report.
- Have your website address and any staging or app subdomains ready
- Let us know which platform your site runs on, such as WordPress or a custom build
- Tell us about any recent changes, outages, or security concerns
What Happens After the Check
Your report is yours to keep. If you want help acting on it, we can scope the fixes or set up ongoing care, with no obligation.
- A prioritized list of findings, from critical to low risk
- Plain-language guidance on what each finding means for your business
- Optional next steps, including remediation or ongoing Website Care
